Emmanuel Gaye

1.) What do you enjoy most about ABC University Liberia?
I appreciate the higher academic standard put forth by ABC. This university is really transforming the lives of Liberians--I am a witness to [the truthfulness of] this claim.

2.) What things is the Lord teaching you outside the classroom through your time at ABCU Liberia?
The Lord is teaching me about personal evangelism and about spending quiet time with God.

3.) What is your favorite class? Why?
(I can't only choose one!) Evangelism, Discipleship and Mentoring. I enjoy these classes most because I want to fulfill the Great commission found in Matt.28:19-20.
"Brothers, my heart's desire and prayer to God for them is that they may be saved." (Romans 10:1 ESV)

4.) How did the Lord bring you to ABC's Liberia campus and what do you plan to do after graduation?
I must admit that I came by the grace of God, because both of my parents are not alive and there is no source of support. After praying many times, prior to my coming, God provided half of my first semester fees. It is my prayer that God will provide the rest of my support-("Faithful is he that called you, who will do it". I Thes.5:24)
It is my hope and prayer to get a Master's in both Theology and Education after graduation.

5.) How would you describe your time so far at ABCU? In what ways is your life different than if you hadn't come?
My time at ABCU is wonderful. I am learning now what I never learned in high school. Besides, my life is becoming so different and is improving in terms of faithfulness, spiritual maturity/growth, biblical knowledge, higher education, etc.

6.) How are you and other students ministering to the surrounding area while attending ABCU Liberia?
We are ministering to our community in a variety of ways. First, students are involved in community outreach. This activity focuses on children's ministry, radio broadcasts, and programs such as counseling and ministering to schoolchildren. Second, each of us students goes to different churches to teach Sunday school and other classes. For instance, I am presently teaching the Baptismal class at the Grace Baptist Church.

7.) Why should a Liberian try to attend ABCU Liberia?
Most of the schools and universities in Liberia are so corrupt that teachers usually receive bribes from students for grades. But I thank God that ABCU is different and does not allow this practice. ABCU also provides higher education and is one of the [very, very few] recognized universities in Liberia. We need God-fearing leaders and citizens.

8.) How would you describe ABCU to a someone wishing to provide support?
ABCU is still undergoing restoration and awaiting the construction of the library, chapel, staff residence, gym etc. ABCU also needs library books, computers, additional staff, etc.

9.) Is there anything else that you would like others to know about ABCU?
I would like for all Christians to pray for the renovation of the ABC campus in Liberia. Please lift up the professors as well as the entire student body. Most of us do not have support.

May God bless you.
