Reception or K-4:
Approach: Topic Teach
Class Size: No more than 16 students. Must be 4 year old by August 1st. Teaching assistant present in classroom.
Time: 7:15 a.m. — 12:00 noon

Social Studies: Abeka Children of the World and Things People Do by Sonlight

Wee-Learn: Topics and Studies (i.e. All About Me, My Family, Pets, Transportation etc.) Manipulatives, games, play dough, hands on play for learning encouraged. A shape, a sound/letter, numbers 0-10, and color emphasized each week.

Students Kindergarten:

Social Studies: Heroes of the Faith. Focus on people who make a difference. Discussion includes, concept of a hero, who a child's hero is and the different countries are studied and discussed where these heros lived and worked. Sonlight curriculum as resource.

Students Third Grade:
Class size: No more than 20 students. Must be 8 years old by August 1st.
Time: 7:15 a.m. — 12:30 p.m.
Reading: 9- 10 individual chapter books resourced by Sonlight. One book per month. Grade level 2.8-4.0. Accelerated Reading Program also used. 11 Reading books by Abeka.

Reading: 26 individual chapter books resourced by Sonlight. Only 10 required for Class reading. Grade level 3.9-5.0. Accelerated reading also used.

Reading: 37 individual chapter books resourced by Sonlight (only 10 required for class reading). Grade level 5.0 to 6.0. Accelerated Reading also used.

Class Structure: Class may have 1 individual teacher or class may be part of middle school rotation depending on teacher availability.

Reading: 17 individual chapter books resourced by Sonlight (only 8-10 required for class reading –approximately 1 per month) Grade level 6.0-6.0. Accelerated Reading Program is also used and encouraged.
