Devotional Life
Christians are disciples of Jesus Christ. There is,
therefore, a strong emphasis at African Bible College on personal
discipline - both spiritual and physical. In order to lead its student
body into a positive, dedicated, mature and Spirit-controlled life,
the following meetings are designed to accomplish this aim.
Chapel
Devotional messages, special lectures, and missionary challenges
are often used by the Holy Spirit as links in the chain of guidance
for future service. Attendance is required of every student.
Prayer
Prayer is essential for the deepening of the spiritual life of the
individual and for the success and growth of the kingdom of God.
Prayer meetings, private prayer, and a semester day of prayer contribute
to this end.
Special Conferences
Time is set aside on a regular basis whereby students may benefit
from special conferences and retreats held on the African Bible
Campus.

Spiritual Emphasis Week
There is a Spiritual Emphasis Week each year where an outstanding
spiritual leader is brought to the African Bible College to minister
to students and staff. Click HERE to see pictures from Spiritual Emphasis Week 2008.

Activities
An important phase of a student's life and development consists
of participation in the events of the school.
Social Events
Students are encouraged in the acquisition of social graces, thus
social events are programmed throughout the year. Christian movies,
banquets for special occasions and other opportunities for informal
get-togethers are offered.
Athletics (MORE!)
Students are encouraged to maintain physical fitness as this is
essential to their well-being. To insure this, and to promote
a spirit of unity, the sports program at African Bible College is
an important part of the total program. It is the aim of the college
to witness to its faith in Christ through excellence on the sporting
field.
Christian Service
Christian service is the normal expression of a healthy Christian
life. Under guidance of the Christian service director, students
are given one assignment a week. Opportunities for service consist
of Sunday School teaching, Choir, Child Evangelism, Prison Evangelism,
personal evangelism, Open Air Evangelism in the market, Hospital
visitation, Orphan and Widows Ministry, Ladies Bible Study and Sports
Evangelism in local Secondary schools. As servant of Christ, student
are expected to be reliable and trustworthy in whatever their service.
Dress and Deportment Cleanliness is next to Godliness is the hallmark of African
Bible College of mind, body and clothing. Clothes should be conservative
in appearance and properly worn at all times. Personal grooming
should be such as to manifest Christ and not ones self.
Smoking, drinking, dancing,
card playing and sexual promiscuity are prohibited. Upon registration
the student will be issued a handbook which will make plain the
dormitory and school regulations.
Boarding
It is necessary that all students live on the African
Bible College campus. African Bible College does have limited housing
for married students with small families. Individuals may request
an application for housing in the Registrar's office.
