a graduate of ABC Liberia

It is my privilege to introduce to you Dr. Dennis Walker our first of many ABC Liberia graduates who will be featured on this website.

What I appreciate most about Dr. Walker is that he has not forgotten about us in Africa. His present ministry takes him to many African countries including Liberia. We will be drawing upon his expertise, as well as other ABC grads, as we prepare to reopen the university this year.

Dr. Walker is an ABC grad who stands out as one with a heart for God integrated with his career making an impact for the Kingdom.

Dr. Del Chinchen
President, ABC University Liberia

Speaking of his time at ABC, Dr. Walker says, "I really enjoyed the community atmosphere. We had access to professors, and we were really mentored. Textbooks were affordable, thus providing us opportunities to study individually and collectively."

What about extra-curricular activities?

"Chapel . . . and sports events are times I will never forget. We started the day in the word and prayer....Expository preaching of the Word was central. This set the tone for the kind of culture that we developed at the school. . . .[Also,] we enjoyed sports activities, especially soccer and basketball. The ABC Mountain Lions were a terror in the sporting community. "

Favorite ABC Professor:

Rev. Fred Manning, Jr.
"He was Dean of Students and Professor of Biblical Studies. He always had time to listen and give counsel. To this day, we are still communicating; he is like a father to me."

ABC surely prepared me for ministry: In my rightly handling of the Scriptures; academically, by always aspiring for excellence, and personally, for embarking upon high productivity in my professional life.

I will never forget the legacy of excellence that was passed on to me by the ABC family. I owe a lot of my progress in my life to the high standard that ABC set for my life. It was tough but now it is paying off!
