STEVE FUNANI CHIBOPHE

Steve Funani Chibophe, a graduate of African Bible Colleges, is married to Ulemu Chibophe. Together they are blessed with a son named Yankho, who is eighteen months old.

Mr. Chibophe began his studies at ABC on September 13, 1999 and graduated Cum Laude on June 8, 2003. His favorite subjects were "Systematic Theology" by Dr. O. Robertson and "Human Resource Management" by Dr. Ed Saner.

Mr. Chibophe says he fell in love with African Bible Colleges because ABC has helped build and strengthen his Christian life. It instilled the disciplines of hard work and perseverance.

"My stay at ABC will not be forgotten . . . [as I greatly enjoyed] chapel services and Super Saturdays. The funny part was how my class won almost every event each Super Saturday in a year."

After graduating from ABC, Steve's first job began in August 2003 with "Partners in Hope - Action for Behavior Change," where he worked for two years. During that time he was a program officer attempting to train youth in behavior modification at the ABC Clinic. He also assisted local churches in five districts in developing and implementing sustainable and effective HIV/AIDS Interventions programs.

"African Bible College prepared me well in the areas of leadership training and sound Biblical teaching."

Mr. Chibophe feels African Bible Colleges is benefiting the Malawi government by raising up Christians equipped to lead. The Ministry of Education is also assisted by the production of dedicated quality teachers.
