ABC Radio History


Radio ABC is the African Bible College radio station that serves as a training center for the students doing communication but above all it is a ministry that spreads the Good news of our Lord Christ Jesus. The radio station started its work on the 5th day of May 1995.
It started with eleven hours of broadcast per day. Then, it was the only other radio station in the country apart from the government run station. The station now broadcasts 16 hours during weekdays and 15 hours on Saturday and Sunday.

LISTENERS
The radio Station is located in the capital city of Malawi. The city accommodates people of different race, creed, color and of course different occupations. The radius of the station covers the whole city and surrounding areas. It is estimated that our potential listening audience is 1.2 million people.

DEVELOPMENTS
Since the station opened its doors, it has made many developments but the most distinctive one is the opening of a second station in Mzuzu a city in the northern part of the country. It is currently operating 13 hours a day. The potential listening audience is estimated at 650,000 people.
