"When Annie's financial case came before the ABCU board, the response all around the table was, "we have to find a way for Annie to attend - she is such a blessing to this community." Annie truly is a godly presence not only in the ABCU community, but in the community of Yekepa as well. Annie is the mother of four with an additional four children that she cares for, a registered nurse working voluntarily at the YMCA clinic, an active member of her church, an incredible baker who makes wedding cakes as a side business, and all of this on top of being a full-time student at ABCU. Her plate is full! But she feels that God wants her here, despite the discouragement from her family, who think that education is a waste of time and money. She enjoys the children's ministry that she's a part of in her church and after her graduation would like to use the knowledge and skills acquired at ABCU to become a full-time leader."
