Rufas

"Rufus' mother died when he was three years old. His father, who didn't believe in education, decided to keep Rufus in the village without a chance to go to school. In 1995, Rufus' father died, leaving him alone, without anyone to care for him. Providentially, a pastor and his wife were visiting Rufus' village at the time of his father's death and decided to take this stranger's son into their home. It was at this time that Rufus had the opportunity to go to school and to witness first-hand the blessing it is to grow up in a Christian home. Rufus would like to carry on his foster father's ministry as a pastor. His passion is for pastors and that they be adequately equipped as Christian leaders in their community. Rufus is a freshman at ABCU studying Biblical Studies and Education. His plan is to use the resources he acquires at ABCU to train those village pastors who have assumed the pastorship but cannot afford a Bible-based education."
